Got scammed? What to do now

Don't blame yourself; these scams are built to fool careful people. Follow these steps in order.

  1. 1

    Call your bank now

Call the number on the back of your card or in your bank's app and say it's fraud. Ask them to block the card and try to stop the transfer. Every minute counts.

  2. 2

    Lock down your accounts

If you gave out a code or approved a Nafath request: change your Absher and bank passwords from a safe device and remove any unknown device linked to your accounts. If you installed an app they asked for, delete it.

  3. 3

    Keep the evidence

Screenshot the chat and messages, and save the sender's number, the link, the IBAN and the transfer receipt. Check the link on ALLSITEY and download the report (the “PDF report” button).

  4. 4

    File an official report

Use the Kollona Amn app. If your bank doesn't act on your complaint, you can escalate it to the central bank through the SAMA Cares platform.

  5. 5

Watch out for a second scam

After a scam, someone may offer to recover your money for a fee. That's another scammer; don't pay them anything.

Prepare your report text

Fill in what you know and copy the text for your bank or the Kollona Amn app. Nothing is saved or sent; it all stays on your device.
